Why I Can't Buy Google Voice Credit From My PayPal Account
Google Voice is an instant VoIP (voice over internet protocol) phone service that is similar to Vonage. I recently had the pleasure of using Google Voice for one whole week straight without a phone card or credit card. I was very impressed with what Google was able to do, and I wanted to share with you my experience so that you can make a decision for yourself. My goal is to help you decide if this is something you may want to consider doing.
First
of all, Google Voice is not a "real" phone service like Vonage,
T-Mobile or AT&T. What they offer is a phone number that you associate with
your Google account. You will never have to pay any extra monthly fee to use
your Google Voice credit card. I know that this sounds really good, but here is
the catch:
When I first activated my Google account
I did not realize that Google Voice
offered a way to not only make and receive phone calls with their service, but
also to link my account to my Google billing account. This made life easier. I
no longer had to use my credit card or write out checks. Instead, all I had to
do was make phone calls and Google would take care of making and sending those
bills to my account automatically.
But
how did they pull this off? Well, they did not actually charge me any extra
fees for using their service. They actually offered me a special credit rate
for our exclusive deal, which I obtained through a link on their home page.
This enabled me to pay for my Google Voice account without worrying about
paying extra charges on my credit card bill.
However,
Google Voice still charges me my normal flat-rate phone rate every month. So,
now I have three payment options. I can choose to pay for the entire amount
each month, pay once through my credit card, or pay once through my PayPal
account. If I were not receiving any sales or incentives from Google Voice, I
might not bother switching my account over. But with so many perks, it is easy
to see why I prefer to pay through my PayPal account.
In
addition, Google Voice allows me to have unlimited long distance calls for a
flat rate, as well as extra minutes for an extra fee. This makes it very easy
for me to contact my clients without any issues. I get my voicemail messages,
and even incoming calls, all in one place. I have been able to make and receive
unlimited calls to my Google Voice number from any location, with any internet
connection, for one low monthly price.
MyGoogle Voice accounts even allows me to make checks through the mail
which I
do now. I write an email to the customer and send them the details of the
check, with my Google Voice number attached. They then go to my website and
make the purchase from there. No more need of a credit check, because this is
how I make my sales.
If
you are in a place where you might be thinking about getting your own Google
Voice account, I encourage you to do so today. It's easy, it's affordable, and
it will make making sales a breeze. Just go to Google Voice, search for sales,
and sign up for an account. You can even make cash advances if you need them.
Start making money today.
If you already have a credit or debit card
you can still use Google Voice to make
sales. Just call your credit card company, and add the number to your Google
Voice account. When you get a call from someone, just call them on your Google
Voice account instead of your credit card company. This makes it very easy to
keep track of who has paid what amount, and how much money is left in your
account. You'll also be able to look up your balance and make a new payment
whenever you want.
So
you might ask, "Why can't I buy Google Voice from my PayPal
account?". Well, the answer is simple. PayPal does not allow you to make
direct sales using your credit card. The way they have set it up, they don't
want you buying their products. They want you to pay by check, and they want to
keep their advertising costs down to a minimum.
Google
Voice only works if you are using an email address to log into your account. If
you use a cell phone, Google Voice will not work for you. They do however offer
cell phone-to-cell phone services where you sign up with your cell phone
company and they will provide your phone with Google Voice. These services cost
about $20 per month, but you'll never need to use it. Once you're set up, it's
free to use.
